We all have fear of losing what we work hard for every week. We all fear being broke and unable to care for the things we must care for in life but fear is just a distraction from keeping you from accomplishing your objectives. I’ve invested a lot of money into companies that I felt were very viable and waited for the breaking point of success and lost hope and feared my investment was tied into a big lose and sold out to soon to watch my once owned stock skyrocket a few thousand percentage points.

Human Genome Sciences Inc. A stock I held for a year. It had many ups and downs and really lost big as the economy turned into a sewage pit fast. Bought once at $11.00 a share and lost big down to being worth a $2.47 a share. It didn’t gain no momentum but I held it for a short time and regained a little bit back but still in the red. They were working on some pretty fantastic medicines to help hepatitis patients and some other cancer drugs. The trials proving success but nothing happening to the share price regardless of the news. I sold to save what little I had left.

I knew better then to sell but allowed fear to coach my every move and bailed out quick. Never bailout unless you know for dang sure it’s the best choice and the market it’s holding in isn’t moving in a positive direction. Anyways I allowed the fear of serious loses to overcome and sold it and 1 week to the day I sold that stock rose from $2.47 to $28.00 a share because them drug trials and the positive information the drugs were showing. I knew better to sell it but I did it and I lost some serious gains that could have paid me a salary for 2 years. If you can’t believe that story I suggest you run back through the financial records for that stock (HGSI) for last year and see it’s lows and where it topped in the highs and read the articles with that company. It was a serious error on my part.
